Privacy Policy

This policy explains what SwansonX LLC (“SwansonX”, “we”) collects when you use this site, why, who it’s shared with, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the site, and we don’t sell your information.

What we collect

• Your account. When you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your email address, name and profile picture from that service. You can set a display name and picture, and choose whether to appear on the top-listeners board and whether to get emails from us.
• What you listen to. Play counts, the tracks you vote for and the playlists you make. To show how many people are listening right now, we keep a random session ID and the track being played for up to an hour; it isn’t linked to your account.
• Songs you make. Your song descriptions and choices, lyrics you write or edit, and the lyrics, audio, previews and covers the studio makes for you, plus any song you report and why.
• Forms. If you request a song or get in touch, the name, contact details and message you send.
• Payments. Your plan, its status and renewal date, your song balance and its history, and the ID Stripe gives your customer record. Card details go straight to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site. Your browser stores sign-in cookies and remembers your player queue on your device. We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To run your account, play music and keep your playlists.
• To make the songs you ask for, and to show them to you.
• To take payments, manage your plan and keep an accurate song balance.
• To show public features you choose to use — the top-listeners board, public playlists and songs you post to the community playlist.
• To email you when a song you’re making is ready, and to send release announcements — you can turn emails off on your account page, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To prevent abuse, review reports and keep the site secure.

Who we share it with

We use these services to run the site. Each receives only what it needs:

• Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Stripe — payments and billing.
• Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI — planning songs, writing lyrics and painting covers. They receive your song description, choices and lyrics — not your email or payment details. Under their business terms they don’t train their models on this data.
• ElevenLabs — recording the music. It receives the song’s lyrics and production description, not your email or payment details.
• Resend — sending emails.
• Google and Discord — only if you sign in with them.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public. If SwansonX were ever sold or merged, this information could transfer with it under the same protections.

We don’t sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

What’s public

Only what you choose: your display name and picture if you join the top-listeners board, playlists you make public, and songs you post to the community playlist. Everything else is private to you.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we’ll delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records for tax purposes). Server logs are kept only briefly.

Your choices and rights

You can change your display name, leaderboard and email settings on your account page, and take down any song you’ve posted. You can also ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your information by emailing sean@swansonx.com. Depending on where you live (for example California, the UK or the EU) you may have further rights, including to object to certain processing or to complain to a data-protection authority. We won’t treat you differently for using them.

Children

The site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security and location

Information is sent over encrypted connections and access to it is restricted. SwansonX is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the US and other countries.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, the date at the top will change, and we’ll tell account holders about significant changes. Questions or requests: sean@swansonx.com. See also our Terms of Use.
