Lyrics

[Intro]
Somebody loved you here, so I'm leaving it where it happened

[Verse 1]
The last train's gone, the doors are locked behind it
I'm clearing out the drawer where the lost things wait
A coat nobody claimed, a bin of tired umbrellas
And a photo, face down, with a pencilled date
Two strangers caught mid-laugh, the corners gone to yellow
On the same Platform Two, and it's fifty years too late

[Build]

[Drop]

[Verse 2]
The board above the doors is flicking down to nothing
One by one the letters fall until the row goes black
I take the tape out of the drawer and carry you outside with me
I press you to the noticeboard and step back
I don't know your names and I'm not going to guess them
But somebody loved you here, so I'm leaving it where it happened

[Build 2]

[Drop 2]

[Breakdown]
Somebody loved you here, so I'm leaving it where it happened
Whoever you were waiting for, whoever made you laugh
I'm not taking you home and I'm not filing you away
Somebody loved you here, so I'm leaving it where it happened

[Final Build]

[Final Drop]

[Outro]
I'll leave the light on over Platform Two
It isn't my story, but I'll leave it on for you
