Lyrics

[Intro]
Cold wind over Midgard, iron in my lungs.
Ash on the snowline, wolves in the drums.
A line of dark hills holds its breath.

[Verse 1]
Sky is a cracked shield, light bleeding through,
I taste storm-metal on the back of my tongue.
Fields where I learned my name drown under bruise-blue,
The weight of the world root thrums like a hung drum.
I stand where the stone remembers our feet,
A single blade left where the fjord meets the sleet.
Salt on my knuckles, smoke in my veins,
I tie my fear to a post in the rain.

[Pre-Chorus]
Hear it—hammer in the heavens, rolling low,
Thunder with a hunger like a longship’s row.
If this is the gate, I’ll shoulder the wall,
Spine like a pine tree, ready to fall—

[Chorus]
Let the thunder fall!
Let the thunder fall!
I call the storm by name, I welcome the sprawl.
Beat on the shields, I will not crawl—
Let the thunder fall!
HEY! HEY! (chant choir)

[Build]
Draw the lightning bow, pull it to the throat,
Sing, old violin, cut fire from the smoke.
Drums like hooves, hearts like anvils—go.

[Tempo-Pause: single heartbeat, all sound drops to one pulse]

[Drop]
[Instrumental Drop — Solo violin lashes D-minor runs over growling halftime bass; taiko/war drums and low male HEY! shouts crash through; guitars grind under the weight]

[Verse 2]
Night spills from the wound in the sky, a black bloom,
Crows trace circles where our sagas were sown.
My shield is a winter moon, scarred and hewn,
But the hand behind it is iron and bone.
I hear the roots of the world strain and creak,
Sap of the ages runs hot in the bleak.
Names of my bloodline ache in my jaw,
I grind them into sparks and taste the raw.

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Stormfather, if you know me, carve me deep,
Mark me with the river where the mountains sleep.
Let me be the roar beneath the squall,
Let me be the shoulder of the final wall—

[Chorus 2]
Let the thunder fall!
Let the thunder fall!
Rattle the gates of night, I answer the call.
If the sky must break, I’ll take it all—
Let the thunder fall!
HEY! HEY! (chant choir)

[Breakdown]
Quiet now—the snow remembers footsteps, red and thin.
A single note of fiddle writes the names I carry in.
Breath turns to ghosts; I swear them shelter under skin.

[Build 2]
Clouds grind low—steel in the rain,
War drums stagger, then steady again.
Bend the lightning string—draw until it screams.

[Tempo-Pause: single heartbeat, the world held on one pulse]

[Drop 2]
[Instrumental Drop — Heavier distorted low-mid bass snarls; solo violin climbs higher with ancient modal runs; halftime rock drums and taiko slam; choir HEY!s stride like a shield wall]

[Bridge]
If I break, let the mountain keep my sound.
If I fade, let the river carry it down.
If I fall, let the oak wear my scars—
But I am not done. Not under these stars.

[Violin Solo]
[Instrumental Violin Solo — Raw Nordic fiddle sings a torn-hope melody over piano and distant wind, then ignites with strings toward the storm]

[Final Drop]
[Instrumental Drop — Deepest, hungriest sub and growl; violin leads the charge like lightning on a ridge; electric guitar roars; war-chant HEY!s pound in unison; halftime at full weight]

[Final Chorus]
Let the thunder fall!
Let the thunder fall!
I am the broken earth that will not crawl.
Raise every hammer, answer the squall—
Let the thunder fall!
HEY! HEY! (chant choir)
Let the thunder fall!
Let the thunder fall!
I’ve stood beneath a sky that split to maul—
Still here, still breathing—hear my call:
Let the thunder fall!
HEY! HEY! HEY! (chant choir)

[Outro]
The wind unknots its fist; the rain learns my name.
Smoke thins, violin whispers—alive, not the same.
